CRIMEA

russia has just ordered it's troops in Crimea to send their families back to russia .

With Ukraine in control of the Black Sea , with air defense systems in Crimea depleted daily and with the Kerch bridge only a matter of time before Ukraine hits it again.......putin knows full well Crimea is both very vulnerable ......and difficult and costly for russia to maintain .
Those air defence systems it keeps losing there could be useful elsewhere ....also the troops .

Having said that ,clearly Ukraine has other priorities at present .....and there are difficulties to attack Crimea .
A seaborne invasion is possible .....but infantry only , and not with armour or artillery .....so that seems untennable .
From Krynky ? Maybe .
Difficult geography but less well defended and less defensive lines engineered
Timing ?
Well Kerch bridge must go first and maybe that is waiting for Ukraine to re-stock and also for F-16's .......but before that new railroad is built by russia .... a year ?
Some more Bradleys delivered by the US .....these as I see it are mainly OFFESNIVE weapons and could be key to rapid powerful moves although mines might be the biggest impediment to that .

the other alternative is to attack the Surovikin line again .....a daunting propsect ....but with more air support this time .
