Please correct me if I am wrong, but the ban previously applied to all offshore exploration drilling. Creates some opportunities and optionality for Beach if NZ desperately needs gas too. Makes me wonder if Victoria will be forced to follow this lead, even with our ideological energy minister. Those offshore wind farms aren't going to coming any time soon by the looks.
