Employment numbers better than expected? Of course they are, its the FED using meaningless Stats to put a spin on the worsening economic situation. The real Stats lag by about 8 weeks when the figures just quoted are revised ( usually heavily downward). For those who dont know, the Fed has been using this tactic for a number of years and most of the economic commentators know the revised figures are the only ones that count.

As for China ceasing its purchase of gold; l seroiusly doubt it. Maybe they have paused for a month just to spook the market and drive the price lower. Afterall, purchasing costs have increased substantially this year and lm sure they feel uncomfortable paying these inflated prices when in just the recent past they have managed to accumulate silently. Price will no doubt drop but l think its just tactics. Their desire to hold large reserves of bullion is far from complete me thinks. Therefore, gold picture remains unchanged in the grander scheme of things.
