Why are you referencing a 2022 article? It’s clear the government has made a u-turn this year when they presented their future gas strategy.
As recent as this week we’ve seen evidence of a stronger focus on unlocking gas resources as the Victorian government approved an offshore gas project.
With regards to how long it takes - sure, to start actually producing from a field where you, let’s say, need 15-20 wells in a first stage, it will take a couple of years to get there.
