However, I do not understand what you mean by this: I think you're giving a bit too much credit to becoming a recipient of the CEI grant
HQ would have sought the grant because it believed that these 2 holes were worthy of being subsidised (probably) because of the potential to discover the core of a newly-defined porphyry system. It was going to drill them anyway, so why not get a grant, rather than spend its own money. It is as simple as that!
