Investor relations response to my query about the buyback (or lack of) was simply to reiterate what was already announced...
"With regard to the current buyback, Helia’s ASX announcement on May 10th (attached) stated: “The total number of shares to be purchased by Helia under the buy-back will depend on business and market conditions, the prevailing share price, market volumes and other considerations…Helia reserves the right to vary, suspend or terminate the buy-back at any time and there is no guarantee that the Company will purchase any or all of the shares referred to above.”
So looks to be primarily a marketing tool this time around with capital management running a distant second.
I'll keep HLI on the watchlist but I think I will take my profits and move on this week.
