Verry interesting article in SMM. China's Production in May dropped 12% MOM. During May NdPrO prices dropped 40 RMB or about 10%. This indicates that a drop in demand is causing part of the price drop. I am not saying there is not Gov manipulation as well but some of the price drop is being caused by demand. This means the low prices may have a very good chance of continuing longer than expected. The drop in out put does mean we are approaching the bottom of low prices but JMO the recovery will be long and slow. The only way for someone to hold prices down is over produce not cut back production, At least that is what I learned in economic classes I took.
