I believe that Netanyahu allowed the attack by Hamas and did nothing to stop them from killing Israeli civilians for many hours just so that he would have an excuse to do enter Palestine
Hamas on the other hand use Palestinian civilians as human shields and they set up their rockets in schools and hospitals.

Meanwhile the US fund both sides, Iran funds Hamas, Biden sent $80 billion to Iran.
