All Europea markets rose overnight.
The FTSE rose 67 points (.83%, the DAX rose 260 points (1.42%) and the CAC rose 75 points .97%).
US markets were mixed.
The DOW fell 35 points (.091%), the NBI rose 32 points (.73%), the NASDAQ Composite rose to a new record - up by 264 points (1.53%) and the Russell small cap index rose 32 points (32 points).
The US Fed held interest rates at the current level - Powell indicated that there would be one interest rate cut towards the end of the year. Powell also noted that the US Fed would need to see similar data indicating that iflation was being controlled over the rest of the year.
US CPI data showed a small cooling in inflation. May CPI was 3.3% - down from 3.4% in April. Core inflation for May was 3.4%.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield dropped to 4.33%.
Oil prices rose - Brent crude at US$82.54 per barrel.
Gold price rose to US$,323 per oz.
BITCOIN has gone up to US$68,041.
