One wonders why they use the 15 week juncture...wonder what the data says if the 12 week juncture is used.
That aside, the 1% is greatly disputed due to the inconsistent and unreliable reporting occurring over a country of close to 350 million folks...but lets say 1% is right.
How many abortions a year?More than a million abortions were provided in the U.S. in 2023. That's a major finding from a report published Tuesday by the Guttmacher Institute, a research organization that supports access to abortion.
To be precise, researchers estimate there were 1,026,700 abortions in 2023. "That's the highest number in over a decade, [and] the first time there have been over a million abortions provided in the U.S. formal health care system since 2012," explains Isaac Maddow-Zimet, a data scientist with Guttmacher.
So of that #...1% = at a minimum...over 10,000 babies.
A year.
Every year.
So again...out of those 10,000+ babies...unless the delivery physically kills the mom...why kill the baby and not deliver instead and adopt out?
Of course its an election issue. Fact is the vast vast majority of women can indeed get an abortion whenever they please. Is some places is somewhat restricted and in some places difficult. but they can travel if they're minded to
But to the VAST majority of folks... come NOV...its not the reason they're gonna vote as they will
