There are only 3 surface vessels, one a frigate and the other two are a tug boat and oil tanker. Russia ships have a history of breakdown as most were built during the Soviet Union days. Most of their deployments are local in country due to this issue, their nuclear submarines have no such issues. I'll add most ships were built in Ukraine and in particular their engines and hence the issues. It's not a credible threat to the US and more diplomatic sabre rattling.
