There has been plenty of research conducted in order to see if natural events around the planet such as fires, volcanic activity and solar activity have influenced the carbon cycle .

The most consistent conclusion is that human activity and fossil fuel fuel burning along with depletion of forests is the reason for increasing levels of CO2.

The increasing levels of CO2 that are no longer being absorbed by oceans are causing atmospheric levels to rise and along with other greenhouse gases such as methane are heating the planet.

Close to 100% of climate scientists say humans are driving climate change and it has been supported by peer reviewed science.
