How crazy is all this illegal boat people thing. The border protection guys hand out life jackets,food and water.Cant the people smugglers at least provide these essentials at the beginning of the the great adventure? Apparently not,it falls to the Aussie tax payer to provide them the basics.Would have thought the thousands these people pay they could at least get a life jacket.
Why dont the government just put on a luxury cruise ship that calls in at say Karachi,Colombo and Jakarta.Charge them all say $20,000 each,that would put the people smugglers out of business.The government could waste the money on all sorts of stuff.
