Is this even remotely credible? Both of these politicians are well renumerated on the fossil fuel payroll, both are serious climate change deniers. How convenient that they can hurl out this accusation.
And disclaimer: I would never invest in totalitarian China nor would I ever consider buying their cars, the Huawei episode has left me permanently sceptical of Chinese manufacturing.
