Thanks Burgerbuns, always appreciate your view. I listened to the presentation also. I think you will find that the German product is a different class of weapon, coming in at $15m EU per unit v's the Slinger at $1m USD. So the 17 EOS units are the same cost to 1 of the German unit. Clearly a different product class. Either way its telling that the Germans went with EOS on that order which I imagine was due to other benefits that multiple units bring to a use case - now protecting critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
He also did say that EOS continue to maintain the edge on tracking and accuracy, stating that for a like for like weapon (Nothgrop 30mm cannon) EOS system hits a target at 2200m where as the competition using the same weapon is only accurate to 1400m. Thats a fair edge.
Im not naive of the mistakes of the past but I think some credit needs to be given to the current mge in turning things around.
