the battle continues, russia has some momentum in 2024 in the war of attrition. Losses are difficult to accurately ascertain but heavy on both sides.

Ukraine is taking a toll but was it ever going to be victorious?

NATO initally weakened Russia with their expendable proxy force but were not prepared for a long war of attrition after rejecting peace in 2022....Lindsay Graham is worried that they will lose the prize of Ukraines riches now. NATO believed its offensive proxy capability would prevail but the gods of war had other ideas. They (Admiral Radakin?) did bring drone boats successfully to a land battle but Ukraine's rampant corruption on defensive construction spending is there for all to see.

Is Russia weaker or stronger now with a transformed economy more war ready than in 2022. Biden may have destroyed the petrodollar with his sanctions and seize of Russian assets. Prof. Joe Biden the foreign policy genius has driven closer cooperation between every country with an axe to grind against US financial and military hegemony. German and French people are exercising their voice in the ballot box and soon the UK and US people will too. Who has real skin in the game (and blood) on their national borders - NATO countries or Russian people?

Despite all the weakness, incompetence and hubris of current leadership hope is not dead that democracy might still save us in the west from ww3 anihilation. Perhaps we can be successful in the new multi polar world that Biden has ushered in at a dramatically accelerated pace.
