rather than complain about the banks why dont you research what accounts have no fees
I have used Macquarie Bank CMA for years paying no fees & getting daily interest (currently 4.5%) on my cash balance - I pay all my expenses by credit card (low interest) & ensure I pay the credit card in full each month
THis costs $50 per year for the CC & the interest I receive is usually hundreds of dollars
YOu dont need a financial adviser to set up a cash management account - most banks have them - they just dont tell you unless you agree to see their financial planners
Stay away for their FP advice !
Do the same with your Super - get a Self managed fund setup for $1000 & invest direct yourself - avoid managed funds that charge 2% + for underperforming results - even boring bank stocks are paying 6% + 30% tax credit + growth
