    I think it's quite bland generally. Not a lot of use to someone putting together the amended WA Domestic Gas Policy.

    Supporting evidence is very little.

    Take Recommendation 1, for instance.

    There is no strong supporting evidence for this figure and its impact on gas prices.

    I don't have figures to hand but consider an extreme example.

    Throw 85% of the Perth Basin production onto the export market and replace it from where and probably at or near netback prices for the locals. You will get only 15% of onshore and offshore production.

    You will be hard pressed to produce enough gas for the local market on this scenario.

    IMO, that would have a catastrophic effect on the domestic gas prices. Users wouldn't like it one bit.

    The new policy will not please everyone. I don't see gas producers fairing very well, unfortunately for Perth Basin producers.
