wrong question ------------- go BACK to the primary objective of the big nuke idea?
the primary objective is to fill in the hole that may well be gaping as coal plants drop off and renewable energy generation picks up -------- we need something to guarantee filling that timing gap --------
and the idea is nuclear
but, here's the simple fact ---------------- by the time nuclear gets going ------- the timing problem gap ------------ will have passed.
it's impossible - unless we get the Russians to build nuke plants - for nuke to be on the ground in time to fill the hole in the transition period -
end of story.
Now - if you want to then go on and talk about net zero ------------- fine - but, it's A DIFFERENT DISCUSSION.
