I don’t believe it is party line driven. I believe that it reflects life conditions at the time. What is the current chameleon like self to be presented to the world? If you’ve seen him write on hotcopper long enough, which some have, You can probably recall that not so very long ago he was telling people about $4m yachts he was going to buy, talking down people who owned corollas and apparently owning multiple properties which meant “poverty” wasn’t a great concern, nor social causes. All based on entitlement and bs not on reality or his efforts. And all simply about a version of self he thought he ought to project.
I doubt it’s any different now. Why would someone who had never read any philosophy and never told us everyone ought to study it suddenly decide philosophy is the go (and in the process show that he doesn’t actually know what philosophy is)
so I’d say his current milieu is more left leaning. Depending on how long he lives there is a possibility of a few more shifts in perspective
what won’t change is his contrary nature and need to be right
