I think the size of the block is relevant look at all the large stone structure that have stood the test of time and then look at the hand made brick structure , the large stone structures have out performed everything. So in theory the bigger the blocks the more sturdy the structure will be and by using glue and not mortar there is no build up between the bricks that can wear away over time . Thick wide structure are more sturdy Imo .
