Based on their 31 December 2023 balance sheet, they're carrying their Greenbushes investment stake as a non-current asset of A$2.3B (see note 10) - so there's a long way to go before the situation you describe comes to pass. And open short positions are just 0.56%, so it's nothing to do with the shorters. Check the shortman.com.au chart - they've been and gone and already had their fun. Best to stick to facts over fantasies.
