It makes a lot of sense that the share price has been driven down to this level. I am assuming (maybe someone can correct me) that if he receives the shares at a discount, he would be required to include the discount as income in his tax return. The "proposed issue of securities" announcement of 1,136,011 for $500,000 puts the price at 44 cps, which at current prices would be a loss and therefore no discount to include.
