@walbrook; in mid 2018 we toured NW Europe / Scandinavian countries + Russia. We expected to experience fields of green and temperatures maxing out in the mid 20'Cs.
Upon arrival many areas were parched / burnt brown - they'd copped maxim temps up to the mid 30's at latitudes close the Arctic Circle. Many of the public vehicles including trams and trains didn't have air-conditioning and indeed didn't even have windows you could open. Hotels we could afford did not have a/c either and indeed didn't even have a room fan.
Global warming / climate change is a bit like a bus increasing its speed even as it hurtles towards unsuspecting pedestrians. When mass extinction events commence some may finally realise that the 'tipping point' was crossed earlier but they chose ignore the warming signs.
