@tbirdsrgo; we've already added enough energy into our oceans and into the troposphere to generate Cat4 cyclones travelling to the Gold Coast.
That region is low lying and essentially underlain by sands and muds - it's a prime candidate for catastrophic outcomes from severe storms / cyclonic events.
