I think the rise was predicted by Benchmark in 2019 SSkim however the degree of excitement around lithium for evs and even grid connected storage in a market where supplies were low was underestimated causing the happy bottleneck (which drove PLS price up to that high of $5.66 on 25/10/22).
Also, FWIW, I have not looked to see how BMI might have increased its’ forecasts in the light of the ‘boom’ in 2020 and 2021).
