From the presentation;
"Shep target model confirmed with drilling of large ultramafic lamprophyre, with sulphide (py) in several holes."
Shep (Ni)
• Sill-like magnetic anomaly with historical kimberlite drilling
intersecting 2m @ 1.15% Ni (KJ193)
• RC drilling completed – ultramafic/lamprophyre sill
intersected, with assays pending.
What are lamprophyres?
"Ultramafic lamprophyres are rare but widespread hypabyssal rocks, rich in K, Mg, Cr, Ni, Sr, Ba, REE, and volatiles, containing less Si and more Ca than other silicate igneous rocks, and grading into carbonatites."
Shep sounds very promising for nickel and looking at the diagram below we certainly land in the right place for trace elements but this is exploration so who knows what we might find. Surus assays due ~end of June and Shep assays due ~July so next month of trading should get very interesting.
