One issue that should also be considered is the impact that President Elect Prabowo Subianto may have on the Indonesian nickel industry. Could there be a slow down in production as his position is determined? Could we see the introduction of some "stronger" nationalistic legislation introduced around ownership of critical metals that causes a slowdown in investment until introduced? Could "friends of Prabowo" take an interest in some existing producers which causes some production issues whilst their plans play out?
