ok lets redo this
oil is US$100
the A$ is 80c to the US$
ok 1.00/.80 = A$1.25
we would recieve $125
a high A$ means we would earn less
your hundred percent right
Sorry about that
I had it right the first time and then someone said it was the opposit and I believed them
yea so this brings be back to original question.
HOW come our miners are going UP despite making less profit due to our high dollar?
it must be due to higher commodity prices.
why are commodity prices going up?
It must be that the prospect of inflation due to quantitative easing.
so despite being less profitable due to a high A$ our stocks are going up due to higher commodity prices.
