this policy can be related to the older earlier failed policies within OZ, not related to immigrants, but used for australians, in relation to public housing estates.....

many are still there today, for example, in Western Sydney....they can be ghettos, hell houses, crime suburbs...where you pool thousands of people on low income and welfare, put them all together, where it forms a HUB, for crime and huge social problems....

I will give an example of another hub.....am only aware of it in NWS.. where indigenous housing estates are formed....
in one suburb there were at least 4 such estates....and after 20 years, just huge trouble spots.....a 'no-go' area for the other residents......
they have cleaned up one such estate in recent times, the transformation and lack of crime now has been unbelievable....I was told, the main trouble makers had been forcibly re-located to other areas of the state....

it would seem more prudent, to escalate the time involved in the proof of asylum, within weeks rather than months, and then to relocate the asylum seekers, to be housed into smaller community groups.....(maybe the people smugglers should warn their clients to keep proof of identity, if they dont want to spend months in dentention, whilst waiting to prove who they are)
if they have proof of identity, they spend a week in a flash motel, then off to paradise.....
if no proof is held, then a long holiday in a non paradise location is the alternative.....

rather than apply the failed housing policies that have been used, not for aslyum seekers, but our own residents in the past.....the govnuts should be seeking a different approach
pooling large numbers of affected people together, is a recipe for disaster....
do they never learn from past mistakes.....
or a quick fix policy regardless of the outcome is the norm these days....
