Clinuvel is “cheap” because the market has very little faith in their ability to deliver. This is not complicated. N=6 pilot trials take at least 2 years to conclude safety ( which no one was seriously concerned about anyway). Nothing gets taken further. Vitiligo, possibly but it has been 14 years getting to this point with a couple of bullshit trials in the interim. Cuv107 is still uncertain.
I did a little preliminary reading on afa and PD. A lot of the rationale is related to mc1r in the SN. Centrally delivered afa has shown a decline in alpha syn In mice. However, afa cannot act centrally as it does not cross the bbb. It is hypothesized that it may exert an effect by influencing T regs, but the alpha syn effect is unproven.
i also noted that palatin has commenced a weight loss trial with MT2, n=60.
