no not a nuclear physicist just an interested engineer.
From what have watched and read the idea for smrs came directly from the power plants in subs.
There is a you tube channel by a lady who is a nuclear physicist and she describes all the 4 series of nuclear power plants and their development and their differences in plain english for most to understand.
I think she calls herself the friendly nuclear physicist. She has a distinctive accent. I haven't watched her for some time, she is not prolific but posts regularly. Must find it again.
Well worth a watch.
