The biggest problem we have right now is how to not find selected rock chips that are less than 25-40% Nb2O5 and Ta2O5.
Take lithium explorers for example. They are often finding 3-5% selected Li2O rock chips on the surface of outcropping pegmatites and when their drill campaign starts, they get intercepts of 1-2% and they call that a major discovery of lithium pegmatites. One example being AZS’s Andover discovery, which started with 3-5% Li2O surface rock chips from their outcropping pegmatites. They drilled out their resource eventually and gets taken over for $1.7B.
Like where do we even start when our selected surface pegmatite rock chips are giving us 25-40% Nb2O5 and Ta2O5? And we could be getting a 1.2km of strike (or longer)?
I am struggling to understand this, for a good reason
