EV car fire Monday night on Back Beach Rd. The protective casing around the batteries suffered major damage causing thermal runaway. These batteries can burn for hours regardless of water application unlike a regular gas or diesel fed motor. This car burned for 2 hours straight despite close to 45,000 gallons of water being applied.
