It is obvious that there has been a lot of high level talks going on and for it to get to this announcement, trust between the two companies must have been established.

With SQM's contacts and influence with all the World's EV and battery makers they have much to offer Talga on the strategic front. Talga could do worse than invite SQM to take a small equity stake in the company.

In my opinion, this would be better than Talga's recent small cap raises from professional loan sharks. They demand an extremely high discount and then quickly flog their shares. This carries much of the responsibility for Talga's down trend over the last 18 months and also attract the shorters. Perhaps they are not one in the same beast.

MT has stated several times that when the Supreme Court gives final approval, Talga will need some corporate equity injection.

Why not do it now?
