Yep, it looks like EOS need a lesson in maths.
Their 30th June 2010 earnings = $1,995,881
The number of shares on issue = 56,845,926
$1,995,881 divided by 56,845,926 = $0.035 or 3.5c.
They were correct with their 2009 earnings being 0.29c so this is an increase of over 1100% & a big cock up by EOS in not recognising the fact.
The 30th June 2009 half year earnings of $163,937 is actually $0.00288 or 0.288c per share rounded to 0.29c.
One would think that maths would be a strong point for EOS.
If you had not highlighted the earnings I would not have picked up on the error & realised that EOS have improved more than first thought.
