I don't believe the Western magnet supply chain is mature enough yet to create any tangible benefits to LYC. It's going to take time to develop.
In the meantime, some possible scenarios to consider.
- End products will be more expensive
- OEM will turn to Ferrite magnets
- OEM will set up shop in China
