Global warming is real but the primary cause is undersea volcanoes, i.e. subsea rifting. That is why the increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide show up AFTER the oceans warm up. It would come back down and stabilize if not so much deforestation was occurring, particularly in the Southern Hemisphere.
