We have wind turbines and battery storage. It's a part of the mix. South Australia had the biggest battery on earth which was soon trumped by other countries. Your argument is very tired and lame. When the wind doesn't blow and the sun doesn't shine was the COALition's war cry and it was debunked. There will be itver ways to supplement renewable energy too but batteries are making wind and solar by far the best option especially in Australia even the UK is heading down the path of renewables. They're not allowing any greenfield nuclear any more
