Heraues seem to be the leading magnet recycler in Europe, already in operation and who are willing to expand and ramp their operation from 600T to 1200T in the medium term.
Production is based at their Remloy recycling plant in Germany.
However, their process is limited to NdPr ONLY.
Heraeus Remloy thus offers a state-of-the-art nanocrystalline NdFeB product for use in plastic-bonded neodymium-iron-boron magnets. Our products show comparable magnetic properties compared to powders made from primary materialThey are chasing the high volume magnet market, and do not produce any heavies such as terbium dysprosium, and holmium, which IXR do.
Having said that, they do have a massive German auto sector to support, and their output will simply not be enough. Not if their local auto industry follows the CRMA and their product is to be ex China.
However, Ford did not partner with Heraues.
The British Geological survey did not partner with Heraues.
