The first reactor in the UAE was connected in 2020 and the other 3 in March 2024 so the first took 8 years so we could do it but we all know building anything in Australia will take longer and cost more than planned.
Many other countries have multiple reliable power sources and in far greater proportions than Australia has, gas is the only quick option to get us past the date of retiring coal plants and that would need everything to right,the federal government will have to pay to keep coal plants generating longer and finance their reliability.
