I see that the top company on the list for lithium-ion energy storage systems worldwide is A123 Systems LLC. Thus, RNU can consider them as a low-risk way to generate early sales. It might clarify the rationale behind the RNU's announcement of this pseudo-FID.
Therefore, it might be able to work-out any teething issues and partially finance the PSG facility on its own until it can fully ramp up with feedstock. By then the market maybe ready to fully transition away from Chinese unsustainable material. An ingenious way of outwitting China's state-subsidised material and beat them at their own game.
