So the multi-trillion valued equities mkt of Australia has a major glitch in its underlying protection of market participants retained tranparency of iceberg orders that they pay handsomely for, in part, via hefty participant fees and no-one noticed. Serriously, did you read anything I wrote? You get where brokers make their money on the ASX right (and often off it as they cross up volumes internally off market on their ability to process massive volumes unhindered) via algortithmic execution constantly trying to uncover advantages - but they all missed the pre-open glitch.

That you reveal your provider as Commsec rather proves my point - that would be the standard "real-time data" supplied by CBA for no pence right? That proves absolutly nothing, but does rather support my point. But sure, shoot the messenger and carry on making investment and trading decisions on poor data that you credit against logic.

I had to explain recently on another thread that no, the official ASX disseminated mkt cap was not right and in fact, off by a factor off 11 because of an ongoing corporate action to similar aggression. Probably the same bloke I sold stock to at $0.50 (it traded $0.76 highs and now trades $0.06 on exactly the same quotation basis). That the trades even stood is a debacle and tribute to the ASX's mkt supervision skills.

I don't know everything Kain - as my lady is always so keen to tell me - but after decades in the industry I do rather know how utterly disadvantaged you (and I) are versus the major houses with the ASX on receiving accurate data, amongst other things. Its a massive part of how they cream money from the market. But sure thing. You can just log-on to CommSec and undercut one of the major advantageous tools of full market participants in the market pre-open.
