Thanks all for your informative posts - I hope that the discussion keeps flowing on OCC despite some disagreements on the iceberg orders. The following from the ASX sheds some light on how iceberg orders show up in the Surplus Volume and explains how it is essentially a simple algorithm with low latency:

Hope this helps - regarding the surplus volume showing up, it would appear that, as the saying goes, “it’s not a bug, it’s a feature”!
