China has a hydro electricity crisis, affecting its heavy industry like making aluminium. This vid is not specifically related to Talga. It will be both interesting and depressing for those interested in climate change. The Chinese only generate 13% of their grid from hydro even though they are far and away the world's biggest producer. The majority of their grid is still coal fired... and those coal fired plants will be working overtime right now as they are experiencing severe drought. Obviously this affects not only the aluminium industry but the synthetic graphite market also.
