with all due respect what more do you need explained that is not already disclosed? Maybe T. Teng thinks alike.
The board believes the amount is recoverable as advised to them from their agent.
The auditors could not verify that. Simple, either take the view of the auditor that there is some risk in recovering the amount or the board, that they believe it is recoverable. Either way is it hugely material to a company with positive earnings, great future growth potential and a very undervalued SP versus its earnings?
