I lightened up a couple of times on the way down when I saw better long term opportunities, but I still hold a fair number. On each dip, you always hope it's just a minor setback and they'll turn things around. Selling at a loss is hard...Finally, it becomes a case of, "it's lost so much now, and the residual value is almost meaningless, I may as well just forget them until I need a tax loss against a gain somewhere else".

I must admit, I made some shocking investments about 3-4 years ago.. WOA, CBR, APX, NVX, TTCF. All bought on their promise of a bright future. Lesson learnt on what not to invest in. Avoid unprofitable start-ups and study the management closely to see if they have proven business smarts, or if it's just being driven by flimflam hype.
