I don't see how it would bother WGX and obviously RMS didn't want to pay a touted $1 a share.
It buys RMS a seat at the board table at under 20% and if just near 10% becomes an easy to acquire takeover blocking stake.
I am picking RMS will stop where they are and let the SPR share price back track and pick up a few extra shares when the share price suits.
RMS has rightly called the" We won't part for less than a buck" touting and taken an economical approach and taken shares mainly on market.
By the time money invested in either SPR or the MGV assets are developed and producing INCOME then you may well be right about WGX.
Then Come after November I am sure there will be other dynamics at play and owing 15 - 20% of SPR will matter little to what happens between RMS and WGX if anything going forward.
Now RMS has spent a lot of money and given away shareholders equity on MGV with nothing but expenses ahead to progress both recent options it has taken,with payback sometime ahead.

IMHO - RMS just want some control as to where SPR's ore may go in the future,the question is - Is that a sign of desperation for feed or a great investment at the price being paid?
