got an update from IC regarding COMRC043 and to paraphrase and the way I interpreted the response...

the hole did not encounter any mineralisation but it did encounter porphyry alteration and pathfinder elements below the fault. The area is very complex (my guess due to number of other faults) and as a result it will take few more holes (my guess 10+) before they can be more accurate with predicting where mineralisaion is distributed. That does not mean though ALK may not hit high grades with the very next follow up hole at Driell - if there is such zone.

Basically in line with what I thought and why I wanted them to drill couple of holes per quarter (over the past 2-3 years) in those areas as by now ALK would have had lot better understanding of the project and if it is worth chasing. Now they are in the very early stage.

Then again, a lucky hit can happen and the very next hole may produce a screamer. And considering they do have lot better understanding of the area now so that can also help. But it will take time for the team to workout how the local faults displace the mineralisation at different parts of the system.
