Tony Seba says the answer is 5 times the required amount of solar and wind energy plus a small amount of batteries - perhaps just a few days worth of batteries.
If you don't believe solar is cheap enough today, it will be within less than a decade. Same story for batteries. That's the key. Solar and batteries are getting cheaper every year. It's technology. Oil and coal and gas are not getting cheaper over years or decades.
